Job Description
Fort Lauderdale law firm focusing on immigration and criminal defense is looking for an Administrative Assistant with prior relevant experience in a law firm. Prior small firm experience is preferred due to the needed ability to multi-task. Must be fully bilingual English-Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Organize, scan, and file legal documents
- Organize and maintain the firm calendar
- Assist with data entry and transcription tasks
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence. Answer incoming calls, take accurate messages, and communicate effectively and clearly with clients.
- Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments and court filings
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve important files
Qualifications
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
- Proficient in file management and data entry
- Fully Bilingual English-Spanish, other languages a plus
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
