The Position: Under general direction of the Security Manager, plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines, and within budget. Includes acquiring resources, and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Define the project's objectives, and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

The ideal candidate has:
EXPERIENCE
Five years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. Demonstrated experience in personnel management. Experience managing a SharePoint site.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field required; however, four additional years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree. PMP certification preferred.

LICENSE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Washington Driver's license with fully insurable driving record.
KNOWLEDGE OF
  • Project management principles and skills.
  • Project management software, such as MS Project, Jira, or other.
  • SharePoint site administration.
  • Conducting research into project-related issues, and products.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy, and principles of leadership.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • New technologies.
  • Customer service principles and skills.

ABILITY TO
  • Use various software programs, such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Bring projects to successful completion using political sensitivity.

  • Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

What you will be doing?
  • Strategy & Planning
    1. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    2. Set, continually manage, and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
    3. Liaise with project sponsors and stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
    4. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
    5. Track project milestones and deliverables.
    6. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
    7. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
    8. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
    9. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
    10. Facilitate project meetings.
  • Acquisition & Deployment
    1. Work with Business Analysts and developers to estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
    2. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
    3. Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recommendations if necessary during project cycle.
  • Operational Management
    1. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
    2. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
    3. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
    4. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
    5. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
    6. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
    7. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
    8. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • SharePoint Intranet Governance
    1. Drive best practice usage adoption.
    2. Ensure compliance with policy and audit requirements.
    3. Contribute to improving consistency and effectiveness of information and document governance within SharePoint
    4. Drive consistency in SharePoint deployment and usage, including taxonomies, templates, master pages and security management
    5. Facilitate monthly SharePoint Governance meetings
