Job Overview :
Our client in Vancouver, WA will be hiring an IT Project Manager with experience in vendor relations management and working in a PMO.
Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week expectation in Vancouver, WA. Reports to IT PMO Director.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintains project/program plans, charters, communication plans and other project deliverables.
- Working and partnering with project stakeholders to define scope and deliverables.
- Work with Project Managers or project teams to estimate level of effort for project activities and prepare detailed project plans and schedules.
- Conduct needs analysis, requirements definition and craft business case analysis and spend justifications.
- Oversees the Project Review processes, delivering updates to all levels of stakeholders on status of projects.
- Responsible for bringing projects to completion and transitioning ongoing tasks/maintenance to the process owner.
- Arranges and Facilitation of meetings, seminars, and other events related to project efforts including follow up recaps and action plans as required.
- Assists in the development of program and project management standards with a focus on ensuring continuous improvement of project management methodology.
- Monitor and report progress against stated project plans and milestones and targeted outcomes.
- Utilize change management techniques to implement strategic process improvements.
- Perform risk management activities across subordinate projects, including risk identification, mitigation, status and tradeoff recommendations that balance strategic needs and tactical actions.
- Define program and project resource requirements and work with the Management Team to obtain resources (contractors, staff, and technology).
- Oversee implementation and delivery of Technology related projects, supporting IT Mgmt., operations, product development and IT PMO standards.
- Fosters engagement and collaboration between Business Team and IT and/or with Partners on related/dependent work.
- Effectively advocates for adherence to IT/PMO standards/protocols
- Helps develop and maintain playbooks/processes for repeatable activities/initiatives that support Infrastructure delivery and operations
- Provides accurate and regular informational reporting on projects progress/status/financials/risks/issues in accordance with IT PMO practices
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of IT Project Management experience:
- Domain experience; in any of the major IT disciplines
- Projects involving SW/Engineering and Platform Integration
- Significant Vendor Relations Mgmt.
- IT background using ITIL Process
- Experience working in a PMO.
Preferred:
- PEO: HRIS and or Payroll Experience
- PMP Certification
- Release Management in Agile/Product Context
- Multi-Team Driver and Coordination
- Understands Infrastructure concepts
- Excellent at planning and coordinating complex but repeatable implementations
- Solid presentations skills (concise/confident presenting to executives)
