The IT Governance Analyst I will have a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's IT operations adhere to industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices. This role works closely with the Enterprise Architecture & IT Governance Team to assess, monitor, and improve IT processes and controls. The Analyst will gain exposure to the entire IT Organization, including Architecture, Governance, Operations, Security, Application Development, and Customer Support. The Analyst will also learn about the Financial Services Industry while interacting with all levels of management, including executives. The Analyst will support the creation and ongoing management of critical groups like the IT Steering Committee and Change Advisory Board. Support the ongoing development of the IT governance framework, processes, and IT governance mechanisms. (25%)
Board and Committee Facilitation (25%) - Support the creation and ongoing management of critical groups, including but not limited to:
- IT Steering Committee (ITSC) - Coordinate a quarterly IT Steering Committee Meeting, activities include supporting the team while planning the agendas, creating presentation materials, and facilitating these executive-level meetings.
- Change Advisory Board (CAB) including communication to the members and guests, meeting preparation, capturing meeting decisions and Action Items.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting (15%)
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Work with IT Managers to ensure adherence to established IT governance practices (Management Practices, Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Guidelines).
- Collaborate with leaders to determine reports to support performance analysis.
Documentation and Documentation Management (15%)
- Maintain and update IT governance documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Organize and manage documentation for easy accessibility and retrieval.
Training and Awareness - Collaborate with the IT governance team to develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness about IT governance policies and best practices among staff. (5%)
Risk Management - Support the team with risk assessments, documenting mitigation plans, and monitoring required activities. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (5%)
Incident Response - Support gap analysis when issues are identified, participating in investigations to and help identify and plan corrective actions. (5%)
Vendor Management - Assist with the evaluation and oversight of third-party vendors to ensure they comply with IT governance requirements. (5%)
