Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

As an integral part of the Information Security organization, this position will provide compliance and risk management support to the Compliance pillar of the Program. This position will help influence necessary changes in adoption and Compliance to cyber security policies and standards, helping others realize the necessity for a properly defined and effective controls environment. The day to day will require a lot of communication with staff, peers, and senior leaders to influence, or prescribe necessary adoption of new procedures, methods, or technology to accomplish the firm's Audit, Compliance and business strategy and objectives. The ideal candidate for this position is a proven problem solver and will have experience with competencies in a number of IT-risk-related disciplines including: security, control frameworks, business continuity management, policy & procedure development, data privacy and Compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Policy Exception Processing
    • Ensure that deviations from established policies and standards are thoroughly reviewed, documented, and appropriately managed.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of policy exception requests and outcomes.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
    • Engage with relevant stakeholders to gather information and insights related to policy exceptions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make informed decisions regarding exception requests.

  • Security Awareness & Training on Compliance Initiatives (eg: EXCs, Supplier Security Assessments):
    • Design and develop training modules that effectively communicate organizational policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Utilize various instructional techniques and formats, such as e-learning courses, workshops, webinars, and simulations, to cater to diverse learning preferences.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
    • Identify specific departmental needs and tailor training programs accordingly to address unique policy requirements.
    • Conduct training needs assessments to determine gaps in knowledge and skills related to policies and standards.
    • Develop and implement awareness campaigns to engage employees and create a sense of responsibility towards compliance.
    • Utilize creative communication methods, such as newsletters, posters, and internal messaging systems, to reinforce key policy messages.
  • Oversee Offshore Team 
    • Help supervise and coordinate the activities of our offshore team.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the offshore team.
    • Collaborate with team members to identify and address any operational challenges.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security Systems OR minimum of 5 years experience in related field
  • Experience working with ISO 27001 Framework or other Risk, Security or Audit frameworks (i.e., COBIT, COSO, NIST 800-53)
  • Strong understanding of technology processes, risks and issues
  • Ability to document and explain risks and vulnerabilities to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with others and in a collaborative, complex and fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with internal and external / regulatory audits
  • Ability to be self-driven and effective with limited supervision
  • Ability to produce high quality policy documentation and reports
  • Effective at engaging with teams in various functions and across different levels
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with GRC tools

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.
