Human Resources Generalist Job Summary

Seeking a strong Human Resources Generalist to advocate the Aprendamos mission to help children attain their highest potential and be motivated to contribute to the mission with pride and integrity.  The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policy and procedures.  This position is available for Full Time.

Human Resources Generalist Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management.
• At least two years of Human Resources management experience preferred.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations’ systems.
• Ability to effectively organize and communicate information to target audiences.
• Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities & Duties

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.  This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, etc.
• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies for each opening.
• Conducts background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
• Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Performs routine tasks required including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, etc.
• Use decision making skills that objectively and fairly evaluate situations.
