Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking an HR Specialist to support our Company in 15 locations. As a member of the team, this candidate will administer various Human Resources processes and procedures company wide. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and have strong communication and technical skills. Must be able to multi-task and excel as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Processes New Hires, Employee Changes, and Terminations and maintains HRIS database.
- Assists with annual EEO and Affirmative Action Plan administration and filing.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state posting requirements.
- Coordinates with Marketing team on internal announcements/articles as needed.
- Liaison between employees and benefit carriers for all benefits inquiries.
- Assists with upkeep, content development and administration of internal training website.
- Answers general HR related questions.
- Completes and maintains desk procedures and checklists for tasks.
- Assists with content development for monthly trainings/meetings.
- Cross-trains on FMLA and other leaves of absences.
- Works closely with Payroll team to streamline processes and cross-train on duties.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) - advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud.
- Experience with HRIS systems - Workday experience a plus.
- Great attention to detail - proficient and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
