Job Summary
Join UT Southwestern as a Human Resources Generalist in Human Relations This entry-level position will work under general supervision to perform a variety of duties in the Employee Relations department including administrative tasks, data entry, processing of unemployment claims, drafting letters and phone calls.
This position falls under a hybrid work model with 1 – 2 days per week on campus.
Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience in one or more areas of HR.
OR, High School or GED and five (5) years of progressively responsible HR experience. Will consider relevant education and experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree, prior experience working in Employee Relations; HR-related certifications (PHR, SHRM, etc.).
Job Duties
Provides full range of support in functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to, Benefits, Employee Relations, Workers’ Compensation and Leave Administration, Recruitment, Compensation, and Organizational Development and Training.
Maintains direct contact with employees, supervisors, and managers.
Serves as primary contact for policies and procedures.
Provides assistance to management regarding interpretation of policies and practices affecting various divisions in Human Resources.
Provides various reports upon request. Assists with statistical reports.
Assists in ensuring accuracy of information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
