Job Summary:
- Establishes and maintains centralized personnel records.
- Strives to improve personnel information systems to promote upkeep, storage and easy accessibility of personnel data when requested.
- Safeguards all confidential information used during the performance of duties.
- Prepares conditional offer packets for applicants.
- Screens all applications.
- Conducts initial interviews of applicants and recommends qualified applicants to the appropriate department supervisor. Schedules any additional follow up interview as necessary.
- Conducts reference checks and initiates all background checks.
- Initiates Conditional Job Offers and schedules pre-employment physical examinations.
- Receives results from pre-employment physical examinations and background checks.
- Schedules and conducts orientation of all new employees and completes all orientation paperwork.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: Minimum high school education. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions. Must be proficient in the use of electronic payroll systems (KRONOS)
- TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in Human Resources/personnel preferred. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration. Computer skills. Ability to type and operate a calculator.
