Primary Therapist

The Healing Center of Mass is seeking a qualified and experienced Primary Therapist to join our team. As the Primary Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individualized treatment to clients who are struggling with substance abuse disorders. Your primary duties will include meeting with clients for 50 minutes one time a week, documenting all appropriate clinical documentation within the record keeping system, performing Biopsychosocial and other clinical assessments necessary, developing individualized treatment plans upon admission and reviewing them as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients for 50 minutes one time a week
• Document all appropriate clinical documentation within the record keeping system
• Perform Biopsychosocial and other clinical assessments necessary
• Develop individualized treatment plans upon admission and review as necessary
• Attend weekly clinical supervision performed by the director
• De-escalate clients in crisis situations
• Attend clinical meetings daily to discuss pertinent information regarding clients
• Write discharge summaries when clients leave
• Facilitate family sessions
• Run psychoeducational groups that align with ASAM
• Other clinical tasks necessary to run a compliant program.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Active licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in substance abuse treatment or a related field
• Knowledge of ASAM and other relevant evidence-based treatment modalities
• Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to program regulations and guidelines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems preferred.
