Hr Generalist

This position plays a vital role in sourcing, attracting, and retaining talent while supporting a strong team culture and interacting with a wide variety of personality and employment situations. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic HR Generalist who aligns with our values to join our dynamic team.

Key responsibilities include administering all phases of the recruiting process including ad creation & placement, interviews, background checks & offers, completing compensation surveys, performing a variety of complex & routine administrative duties in support of the department, updating the HR webpage, assisting with benefit and new hire orientations, and assisting with special projects as needed. The incumbent is required to interact with a wide variety of individuals in a variety of different situations.

Minimum qualifications include: an Associate’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, one to three years’ experience in human resources or labor relations, knowledge of the principles of human resource management, labor relations, employment laws and practices. The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, to research and organize data, to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with retirees and others tactfully and diplomatically and being proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point is also required. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and/or previous Municipal experience is a plus. The salary range is between $56,000 and $72,000.
