Responsibilities:
- Maintains a current knowledge of state and federal laws regarding Human Resources activities and ensures compliance.
- Coaches and counsels management on employee relations issues.
- Partners with management to provide strategic guidance for the business, regulations (state and federal), policy, and talent decisions.
- Helps implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Provides advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies and procedures, and documentation.
- Build partnerships to effectively engage, listen, coach, and deliver effective feedback.
- Conducts exit interviews, serve as company representative on unemployment hearings, and assists HR Manager in responding to any required federal or state requests.
- Acts as HR representative on various committees and as point person on special projects, as assigned.
- Assists in building the talent pool for various locations and opportunities across the company.
- Assist in the effective recruiting programs to provide staffing. Participates in job fairs.
- Screens, interviews, evaluates and extends offers to candidates.
- Monitor climate of the organization and keep management advised of potential problems. Respond to the organizational needs promptly, eliminating the desire for third party representation.
- Duties may change and representative may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, preferred.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
- Human Resources principles, practices, and legal requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
