WyCo Services is a service-based business in the material handling industry with a heavy focus on conveyors. Established in 2018, WyCo continues to grow within the distribution sector, servicing Top Fortune 500 Companies such as FedEx and Amazon. WyCo has established divisions in 4 states. The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee and cross-train on multi-state payroll, to include taxes, garnishments, 401k, PTO, and all other payroll associated liabilities. States include: LA, MS, CA, NY, MA, VA, UT, TX, FL
· Monitor and ensure organization remains compliant with federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations, and implement best practices. To include state specific Safe and Sick Leave policies.
· Oversee timekeeping review and PTO approval.
· Collaborates and supports operations team with their hiring, training and any disciplinary needs.
· Perform salary analysis based on position and location.
· Oversee recruitment efforts and retain high performing talent.
· Performs constructive and timely performance evaluations and planning sessions.
· Responsible for all disciplinary, investigative and corrective actions to include termination.
· Develop training and company-wide initiatives to support the organization’s compliance needs.
· Review and assess current work flow practices within the HR department to ensure efficiency and accuracy. To include reviewing possible payroll providers.
· Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including annual renewals.
· Plan company events and manage incentive and recognition programs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· HR Certification through a Professional Organization highly preferred
· 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
· Knowledge of labor laws and multi-state payroll experience a MUST!
· Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
· Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
· Strong employee relations experience, demonstrating ability to engage and increase productivity and satisfaction
· Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
· Attention to detail and good judgement
