Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Player Personnel is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of all aspects of Player Personnel in the football program.
40% Assisting personnel and coaching staff in organizing and maintaining accurate records of preliminary research data on prospective recruits; preparing detailed research outlines of high profile prospective recruits for each position group in the national and regional recruiting areas; assisting coaching staff in identifying and developing data on key prospective recruits; providing pertinent data for the departmental database designed to monitor and track prospective recruits throughout the recruiting process; providing written reports to head coach; Key contact for recruiting software, OT Scout. Software is used for recruiting notes, evaluation notes, compliance and internal documentation and virtual boards.
25% Assists coaching and administrative staff in developing and executing recruiting weekend events. Assists with the coaching staff and prospects and their families during official and unofficial visits and Jr. days. Assists with recruits on game days; Oversees evaluations and preliminary scholarship offer documents. Works with compliance and academic support staff members to ensure prospective recruits documentation is accurate and complete; assists in the system of cataloging, editing and digitizing videos, tapes and other recruiting media; Game day assists with the recruitment of potential student athlete.
20% Organize and maintain the daily task list for student workers in Player Personnel. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following: priority film breakdown and maintaining accurate logs of film breakdown, updating prospect database, board tag maintenance and the student enrichment program.
10% Assists with maintaining accurate and relevant information regarding the football program through twitter, texting, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Instagram, YouTube and Facetime;
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department diversity and inclusion initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with three years experience in a collegiate or professional football setting. Knowledge of collegiate athletics, NCAA rules and regulations, and SEC rules and regulations; organizational and interpersonal skills.
Special or Physical Qualifications: Ability to work extended days and weekends.
