We are actively searching for our new Human Resources Director to be located at our Headquarters in the Fayetteville, NC area. You will be a key player in our growth, collaborating with ownership as their strategic HR business partner. We need someone who is forward-thinking, hungry, and eager to grow with a booming business connected to the Construction world. We are looking for a corporate central person who wants to push the vision of our company. You will provide leadership and direction, managing/mentoring and growing the staff below you, with an HR Generalist and 2 payroll processors as well start. Excellent career growth potential for Human Resources Directors seeking longevity and growth in their careers, because we intend for the position to grow into a Chief of People/VP of HR.

We have several locations throughout the Carolinas, currently about 325 total employees, with about 60 of them at the corporate HQ. We are not looking to hire many more employees, but our company is growing tremendously in gross revenue and we need a strong proven Human Resources Manager who can implement the right culture.
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Director:
(Strong HR background: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, retention, benefits, wages and JD’s, employee disciplinary, succession planning, payroll, insurance, benefits, updating employee handbooks as well as job descriptions, working with raises and promotions as well as compensation and bonus plans, SOP's, etc.)
- Partners with senior leadership and the owners to execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future forecasted needs.
- Provides support and guidance to the HR generalist, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Education and Experience for the Human Resources Manager/HR Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of human resource management experience is preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is a Plus, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER. We like proven experience
