Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking to hire a Full-Time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at our Bridgeton, MO location.  The HR Coordinator will perform a variety of activities in support of Human Resources. This is an entry level Human Resources role with the purpose of supporting the Human Resources Department with administrative processes and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. If you're the right person for this job, you'll have a passion for building strong relationships and providing excellent customer service.  You'll be an enthusiastic and positive ambassador for the business. You'll be highly organized and great with follow-through. You're eager to learn, continuously improve, and help with whatever work needs to be done.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative activities in support of the Human Resources organization assisting with assignments from various areas of Human Resources
  • Support employees, external customers, and management team with day-to-day human resource questions, needs, and inquiries
  • Compile and maintain employee electronic personnel files
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as employee engagement and recognition events, committee initiatives, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
  • Participate in employee committees
  • Manage offboarding including exit interviews, unemployment claims, maintaining employee data in HRIS system, verifying employment and other duties as assigned
  • Perform and promote all activities in compliance with all Federal and state laws and policies of the company
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information and takes appropriate measures to safeguard confidential information
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management or related field desired
  • Knowledge of Human Resources process and best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
  • Demonstrate ability to be organized, attention to detail, ability to manage own time effectively, product work of the highest quality and meet deadline consistently
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, effectively both written and verbally
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to build relationships with employees and managers
  • The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to be discrete and show integrity when handling confidential information
