UIC Human Resources is seeking a Help Desk Support I to join our HRIS team. This role plays a crucial role in providing efficient and timely technical support to end-users within the organization. The primary responsibilities involve managing tier 1 Help Desk inquiries through various channels, offering basic troubleshooting assistance, documenting issues and solutions, and ensuring effective communication with end-users.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Efficiently respond to incoming Help Desk calls, emails, and support tickets in a timely and professional manner, consistently prioritizing and addressing tier 1 technical issues based on their urgency and impact on end-users, while logging or recording tickets for tracking purposes.
- Provide support for system integration by troubleshooting and resolving issues. Perform routine maintenance updates for system value lists, manage record deletions, and oversee efficient report distributions to meet user requirements.
- Support data integrity compliance audits by running reports to identify errors, collaborating with users to uphold data integrity standards, and offering support and orientation to new users.
- Actively participate in weekly support labs for HR systems, offering guidance and expertise to users, facilitating hands-on troubleshooting exercises, and contributing to the continuous improvement of team members' skills and knowledge through live demonstrations and mentorship.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of professional IT experience within IT Support Services which includes demonstrated experience providing end-user technical and troubleshooting support with computer hardware, software and classroom technologies within desktop and networking environments via, telephone, ticketing systems and/or onsite resolution.
