We are looking for an HR Specialist intern who will be responsible for contributing to the advancement of inclusion initiatives while providing essential support to the Senior Director of Diversity & People Growth in a part-time capacity.
This role involves collaborating with various business units and HQ departments to create an inclusive workplace culture, drive diversity initiatives, and support equal opportunities for all employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Diversity & People Growth to execute DEI strategy.
- Data Analysis: Maintain and improve the database of diversity information and provide analytical reports and statistics regarding demographic information that illustrates insight on the workforce, tracks progress and identifies opportunities for development.
- Training and Education: Contribute to the scheduling and delivery of management training programs and workshops on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
- Policy Review: Review and update HR policies to ensure they reflect inclusive language and the organization's overall commitment to inclusion.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Contribute to the implementation of inclusive recruitment and hiring practices to attract diverse talent and reduce biases in the hiring process.
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Collaborate with ERG leaders to facilitate cross-ERG strategy planning and the operational management of ERGs, including gathering engagement metrics.
- Communication: Contribute to creating and disseminating communications that promote the organization's commitment to inclusion and inform employees about related initiatives and progress.
- Complete project assignments such as the launch of a diversity training module suitable for new hires and the development of an inclusive language guide for internal communications
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EDUCATION
- Education and/or Experience: In-progress bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Attention to detail: Exceptional ability to maintain data and documentation accuracy.
- Cultural Competence: Awareness and understanding of different cultures, backgrounds, and identities.
- Prior experience in HR, or related fields is a plus.
