Job Title: HR Generalist

Position Overview: Responsible for various tasks relating to HR for The Onyx Group and its clients while embracing the mission to work together in openness and gratefulness. This person provides superb customer service to team members and managers while handling a variety of administrative and analytic tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Performs tasks in relation to the daily utilization of programs including but not limited to benefits, leave, productivity, health and safety, and training and development.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. Proposes suggested process changes to HR leadership.
- Maintains and updates employee data, such as employee status changes, employee information changes, and training information, in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) applications.
- Confirms accuracy and integrity of data through audits and query generation and coordinates data cleanup as necessary.
- Designs, generates, and distributes standard and ad hoc reports for HR team, managers, and clients as requested.
- Assists with training and development for team and new hires.
- Partners with HR leadership regarding HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assists in development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Gathers and analyzes data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Maintains employee files and records in all formats.
- Identifies non-compliance regarding labor regulations and escalates findings to HR Manager.
- Assists with various and on-going projects in the department.
- Provides excellent customer service daily for team and manager questions.
- Assist in on-boarding and off-boarding team members for Onyx and clients.
- Assist with Tribe 101 and Onyx 101 orientation attendees with Culture team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Prefer HR degree or related experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
- Intermediate computer skills and minimum typing speed of 40-50 wpm.
- Ability to perform independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Work environment and Physical Demands: Requires periods of sitting, standing, and walking associated with a normal physician office environment. May require lifting of amounts up-to 25 lbs. Must have the ability to travel between multiple office locations. Person may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, infectious diseases, blood/bodily fluids, and disease-bearing specimens.
