As our Bakery HR Business Partner, you will foster an inclusive, engaging culture that empowers employees and drives business outcomes. We seek a strategic, ethical leader to provide guidance on equitable programs and policies, resolve issues with empathy, coach managers, and nurture our teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the bakery in the areas of investigations, policy, and procedure enforcement.
- Investigate & resolve employee complaints including disciplinary actions, harassment, etc.
- Execute the many daily & weekly HR functions such as wage reports, temp labor reports, and other activities. Serve as a liaison between employees' concerns/issues & management.
- Administration of FMLA & all other personal leave of absence tracking for hourly employees.
- Recommends solutions to the management team for issuing appropriate steps of discipline following the attendance policy, and providing backup documentation for attendance–related corrective actions.
- Ensures timely government compliance in areas of wage & hour, EEO/AA, and Immigration & Naturalization Services. Responsible for policies and procedure implementation regarding staffing to ensure legal compliance.
- Primary support to coordinate company benefit programs to new hires which include health and welfare insurance, 401k, PTO, workers compensation & SDI. Assists employees with online enrollment and/or changes in the ADP portal.
- Provides Human Resources support to the bakery in the areas of investigations, and policy & procedure enforcement. Assists in the daily administration of HR functions & activities. Is an advocate for the employees and interacts with employees to resolve issues.
- Investigate & resolve employee complaints including disciplinary actions, harassment, etc. Execute the many daily & weekly HR functions such as wage reports, temp labor reports, and other activities. Serve as a liaison between employees' concerns/issues & management.
- Designated Representative for I-9s and E-Verifying employment eligibility determinations and is the primary “set of second eyes” on all I-9 & E-Verifying processing paperwork, initialing I-9s after review. Maintains all active & terminated I-9 binders as well as updates & verifies all employment authorization information.
- Process changes such as leaves of absence, terminations, and resignations utilizing Success Factors and conduct exit interviews.
- Leads & performs open enrollment activities at the respective local bakery as required by Corporate Human Resources.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required by the Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Human Resources or Business Management or related field
- 5-7 years experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Manufacturing Environment
- Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Internet fluency.
- Good presentation skills for (orientation of new hires).
