Key Business Objectives:
The HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the HR team and providing technical and administrative support in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department.
This is a hands-on exempt position that requires daily interaction with various members of the HR team in processing candidates and working with employees. The HR Coordinator will positively promote the USA Compression company culture and standards while providing exceptional customer service both internally and with external applicants. This position is located in Austin, Texas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support throughout the employee life cycle (i.e., pre-employment, onboarding, offboarding).
- Extend approved offers to candidates and begin the pre-employment process.
- Track the pre-employment process (i.e.drug/alcohol testing, background checks, WorkSTEPS physicals, DOT history check forms, IT access forms, etc.).
- Assist with updating the weekly candidate pipeline report.
- Conduct weekly new hire orientations and update PowerPoint as needed.
- Process and onboard new hires into UKG – our HCM
- Assign training licenses and record new hire training completions in UKG.
- Monitor the HR email inbox in Outlook (respond or route as needed)
- Respond to verification of employment requests, inquiries, and unemployment claims in a timely manner.
- Update HCM homepage with monthly safety meetings, newsletters, company policies, referral bonus programs, and quarterly company newsletter.
- Ensure compliance with employment law posters.
- Provide backup support to Receptionists in the Austin and Houston offices as needed.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service to employees.
- Participate in other Human Resources and Payroll activities as appropriate and coordinate special projects as assigned.
- Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Full-time salary-exempt position.
Skills/Capabilities and Education:
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Exceptional written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information.
- Must work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate skills in problem-solving and can work independently.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and manager including training, procedures, instructions, etc.
- Action-oriented and high performer.

Working Conditions:
