Primary Function:
The primary function of the HR Coordinator is to assist with the on-boarding process of team members as they report to the site to begin work.
A broad range of human resources and recruiting knowledge within the construction industry. Ability to call on knowledge of labor law, hiring procedures and unfair labor practices with regards to candidates. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, a self-starter. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to Multi-Task. Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish established department, office, and/or company-wide goals. Strong interpersonal skills, able to convey trust and respect, in day-to-day activities as well as in more formal, and meeting settings i.e., excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Should have working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Bilingual is a requirement ( Spanish ).
Education and Experience:
· A minimum of 1 years’ experience in recruiting and/or HR or a related field with a working knowledge of the construction industry. College Diploma or equivalent recruiting/HR experience within a(n) construction/industrial setting. Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to pass applicable safety training as well as any required site-specific training. Must be able to read and understand safety instructions, signs, labels and permits in English.
