Daily: (Essential)
- Assist HR Manager with issues that affect human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance; personnel records, policy manual, EEO/AAP activities and other company sponsored employee activities.
- Performs new employee orientation, or other training as identified.
- Prepare weekly payroll and verify any discrepancies in the system.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
- Ensure Company policies and plant handbook are fairly and consistently administered.
- Serves as central point of contact for employees with employment or benefit concerns.
- Manage Company Random D&A program and reports by working with third party administrator.
- Manages employee engagement program, activities and budget. Provide updates to HR Manager and HS&E.
- Assist employee with changes in the Human Resources Information System, Oracle (LOA, address changes etc)
- Manager and assist employees and leadership team with LOA, FMLA, Parental Leave, STD, LTD, etc. working with corporate Benefit Coordinator.
- Run report & queries as needed from HRIS systems.
- Assist in management of recruiting process.
- Other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Periodic/Non-essential: (Indicate whether weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.)
- Referral Bonus program (track and pay request) - monthly.
- Maintain and update bulletin boards - daily
- Review, code, and process incoming invoices and check requests for approval through Read soft - Weekly
- Filing - weekly
- Respond to unemployment claims filed by current and former employees, on an as needed basis. Daily/weekly
- Employee engagement events and rewards and recognition - Daily/weekly/monthly
Education and Experience required:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to four years human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, HRIS experience (Oracle, Kronos, MS Office, KPA, Read Soft)
