HR Coordinator

 

We are currently recruiting for an HR Coordinator to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The HR Coordinator will support the entire Human Resources department by performing HR duties in areas such as talent management, benefits, training, compensation, performance management, policies and procedures, employee relations and other special projects as assigned. In this role the HR Coordinator will work collaboratively with HR team in order to drive results that are aligned with the strategic priorities and initiatives of the company.  This candidate should have an HR background and a passion for working with people.  The HR Coordinator will also be highly motived and have interpersonal skills and a professional level of written and verbal communication.


 

  • Assist in all full cycle recruitment efforts, included but not limited to:
    • Posting job descriptions to internal and external websites
    • Coordinating and scheduling interview with selected candidates
    • Closing out job requisitions once successfully filled
  • Onboarding all new employees and ensuring compliance throughout the process
  • Respond to and resolve employee questions related to policies, benefits and other HR practices and programs
  • Coordinate and own the monthly New Employee Orientation
  • Create, track and maintain personnel files by filing updated paperwork
  • Administer all new and replacement employee badges
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Human Resource policies, programs, and procedures, as well as departmental goals and objectives
  • Responsible for all monthly communication to our employees through the companywide e-boards. 
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in respective systems.
  • Assist the Benefits Manager with quarterly benefit billing audit

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline required or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience; recruiting experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills; friendly and approachable
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills required
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently
  • Knowledge of record keeping methods
  • Ability to perform detailed tasks in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple work projects, adapt to changing priorities, and meet set deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions regarding work methods and priorities while maintaining the high confidentiality necessary for personnel work
  • Ability to interpret and apply Human Resources policy and procedures in making work decisions or in providing information to others
