Position Title: HR Business Partner
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of People and Culture
Location: Stone Ground Bakery, Salt Lake City, UT
Purpose and Scope of Position
This position is responsible for general Human Resources functions, safety, documentation, training, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Paycom HRIS expert for Stone Ground Bakery
- Help maintain employee records for SGB
- Walk and talk to employees on the floor for an HR presence
- Safety ambassador for the facilities at SGB
- Prepare reports concerning employees for SGB management when requested
- Participate in investigations and take statements (coordinate with the Director of People and Culture for final determination)
- Support employees when HR issues arise
- Reinforce company policies and procedures
- Oversee postings for any HR related legal postings
- Ensure compliance with HR federal laws and regulations
- Assist in coordination with recruiting and hiring of staff
- Assist in NEO and training
- Helping with administrative tasks such as updating job descriptions, filing, scanning, etc
- Assist Directors with HR tasks requested
Basic Qualifications
- Must be bilingual (Fluent in Spanish)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 3+ years or experience working in the human resources field
- At least one year of compensation and benefits experience
- Ability to develop and manager interpersonal relationships at all levels of the4 company
- High level of customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and database programs is preferred.
- Strong skills in analytical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and ability to effectively manage conflict
- Ability to work in teams to obtain results
- Effectively manage change and comfortable changing direction and acting without complete information
- Good organizational and prioritization skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in an environment with noise and with varying temperatures.
- Must be able to sit for long periods while working on the computer
