The SR HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with team members and leadership in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships through working directly with the organization's leadership finding solutions to problems and working to implement and execute the HR strategy that closely supports the organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a Business Partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and managing the deployment of appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
- Develop procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organization.
- Identify requirements for HR frameworks and tools within an important area of responsibility to meet business needs. Specify the design and manage development and implementation, ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader HR policy framework.
- Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
- Develop and investigate multiple hypotheses, using a wide range of HR data to diagnose underlying causes of key business issues and identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and/or improve business performance.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of Employee Relations cases, taking personal responsibility for unique, complex and/or highly confidential cases that require deep investigation.
- Specify, develop, and test HR data collection procedures and tools within an area of HR practice to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.
- Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Education and/or Experience
General Education
University (First degree) in HR related field.
Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (Over 6 years to 10 years)
Managerial Experience
Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Over 3 years to 6 years)
