The owner of an online marketing agency is currently seeking a talented House Manager to manage his personal residence and run his errands. In this position, you will be crucial in cleaning and managing the household, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently so that this entrepreneur can focus solely on his business operations while he works from home.
He’s looking for someone who can be autonomous, complete tasks thoroughly and efficiently, and coordinate all aspects of daily living, from housekeeping and managing household inventory to sourcing estimates from contractors, running errands, and being available for additional requests, as needed. You will be exposed to this entrepreneur’s business, personal lifestyle, pets, family, and colleagues, so discretion and trust are of utmost importance.
Responsibilities:
Household Management:
- Take charge of household management, meticulously planning, coordinating, and overseeing every aspect of operations.
- Clean and maintain an 1100-square-foot apartment on a weekly basis.
- Perform regular upkeep, including doing laundry, cleaning dishes, feeding cats, cleaning litter boxes, and more.
- Regularly order groceries and household supplies, ensuring all home inventory is always stocked and ready.
- Keep the property in impeccable condition by overseeing maintenance and repairs, guaranteeing it remains a comfortable and well-maintained living environment.
- Implement organizational systems for kitchen, bathroom, closets, and cleaning supplies.
- Track personal expenses and make cost-effective purchases of household items.
- Run additional errands as needed.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage household calendars and schedules, including appointments, bookings, and reservations.
- Handle miscellaneous correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail as requested.
- Source estimates and meet with household contractors as necessary, such as landscaper, car detailer, snow remover, etc.
- Coordinate rental property maintenance as needed with the property manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a House Manager or in a similar managerial role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to source estimates and manage contractors.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Strong housekeeping skills.
- Discretion and respect for privacy.
