Job Description Brief: As General Manager you will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the ministry of the The Way Recovery Houses under your care though not limited to the following descriptive responsibilities.
Job Description Functions and Standards
Function: Manage Intake of Incoming Residents and Oversight of Outgoing Residents.
Standard: Meet individually with each new incoming resident, taking them through the Way Residents handbook, obtaining their signoff on the handbook while informing them of house operations and their bedroom, clothing and other available storage areas, as applicable.
Function: Oversee and Manage House Manager selection and development.
Standard: Selecting and encourage individual/s to serve in the capacity of House manager as outlined in The Way Residents handbook. Work with House managers and participate in all training meetings.
Function: Working with each House Manager to apply The Way Policies and Regulations as outlined in the current The Way Residents Handbook.
Standard: Facilitating each House Manager to follow and implement the Policies and Procedures in an
efficient and consistent manner. Work with House managers with a proper implementation of any consequences for violation/s of stated policies.
Function: Manage and Administer weekly Rent Collection in each house.
Standard: Oversee Rent Collection while informing residents of the online ‘Pay Rent’ facility and each house rent box. Implement ‘Rent Arrears’ agreements, when necessary, as per Residents handbook policies.
Function: Facilitate and oversee, with House Managers leadership, the weekly House meetings, and Bible Study facilitators.
Standard: Prepare each House Manager with a template for conducting weekly house meetings and Bible
Studies. Be actively selecting quality Bible Study leaders. Make an appearance at each house meeting in a steady rotation while initiating and facilitating emergency house meetings when necessary.
Function: Oversee and manage Phase Program for residents.
Standard: Enable and empower House Managers to encourage and facilitate each resident working through the Phases and any necessary remedial phase progress.
Function: Participate in weekly team meetings and any other required meetings with other General Manger/s and the Executive Director.
Standard: Attend and contribute necessary information in weekly meetings with the Executive Director with features of the Way House issues, House Manger evaluations, Rent Arrears Agreements, and any relevant matters to the efficient operation of the Way Recovery House ministry.
Function: On call and available in emergency Situations.
Standard: Be available to respond and appear should an emergency that requires your attention and presence arise. Coordinating coverage when unavailable and communicating that to house managers.
