Watson Marlow Fluid TechnologySolutions is an SSE PLC Group company (https://www.spiraxsarcoengineering.com/). We offer a range of fluid handlingsolutions across the biotech and industrial markets.

This role will focus on:

  • Drive profitable sales growth in Process Industry (Industrial, Food & Beverage and Waste & Water Environment) sector of South Korea aligned with the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group strategy and the Spirax Sarco Engineering plc (SSE) core values.
  • Drive and implement WMFTS strategic objectives as agreed with the Process Industry Sales Engineer of Korea.
    Achieve the above through collaborative working with the Korea Process Industry Leader or North East Asia (NEA: Japan +Korea + Taiwan) Process Industry Sales Manager

To be successful in this role, youwill need:
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit targets for Korea using all the facilities, sales and marketing resource available within the planned expenditure.
  • Manage to ensure sales support team, re-sellers/3rd parties, and their sales forces are well trained in our product lines, technically and in selling, and motivated, and that monitoring systems are put in place to ensure that Sales Engineers selling efficiencies can be increased.
  • Manage to ensure the staff under your control are striving for the same goals, to keep all Process Industry (Industrial, Food & Beverage and Waste & Water Environment) sector Sales Engineers and staff motivated by example.
  • Comply with all aspects of Group policy and procedures as required.
  • Ensure regional customer needs are understood and met, growth opportunities identified and the WMFTS Customer Value Propositions are appropriately presented.
  • Work with Group Supply to ensure the appropriate level of factory technical and commercial support is given to Customers, sector sales managers and Sales Engineers, sales support team, and resellers in the region.
  • Advise upon and oversee the implementation of new product launches and sector focused marketing campaigns for Korea.
  • Provide orders and sales forecast updates and business reporting on performance compared to Plan and prior year, as required.
  • Report to the Korea Process Industry Leader, for any changes needed to promote an increase in sales, offering insight into new opportunities, market/sector developments, competitor activity, product enhancements and any changes needed for the betterment of WMFTS in Korea.

 

DecisionMaking:

  • Ability to make decisions concerning thefollowings together with to the Korea Process Industry Leader or North East Asia(Japan +Korea + Taiwan) Process Industry Sales Manager.
  • Leading and guiding the Sales Engineers, and Technical Support team in daily activity.
  • Pricing and other sales strategy
  • Justification of the operating budget and proper allocation of resources
    InterpersonalInteraction Requirements:
  • Ability to work with local Korea management as well as NEA and senior Watson-Marlow management across the group.
  • Skills to lead sales organisation to achieve sales targets.
  • Needs to work well with WMFTS co-workers, resellers/3rd parties, and customers, and achieve desired results.
  • Ability to foster relationships with external institutes and organizations to promote.
    Educationand Experience Requirements:
  • University degree/Diploma, preferable in Mechanical, Industrial and Chemistry Engineering etc.
  • Must have above 3 years sales or marketing experience; prefer direct sales experience.
  • Experience in process engineering.
    Specialqualifications
  • Sales development experience for peristaltic pumps and associated fluid path technologies for Process Industry.
  • Negotiation skills and good communication in English
    Strong writing skills
    Data analysis skills
    Computercompetencies required for this position.
    Computer literate, able to create correspondence in Word.
    Able to produce and/or adapt PowerPoint presentations.
    Able to use Excel/Access to analyse, collate, and present data.
    Able to use Outlook for e-mail and appointment tracking purposes.
    Has knowledge of and some experience working with a CRM (customer relation management system).
    Must continue to grow with existing technology in an effort to become increasingly efficient.
    Specificrequirements for completing essential functions of the position:
    Ability and willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis and sometime international, as required.
