Job Description
The IT Support Specialist will plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects and outcomes.
- Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
- Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
- Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
- Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
- Stay abreast of advanced technologies and software for possible upgrades and implementations of such programs.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.

- Monitor network and website performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.

- Solid understanding of computer software programs - Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012/2019, SQL Server, Office 365, Sage HRMS, and Rubex eFile.
- Ability to resolve very complex or previously unknown issues requiring high level technical expertise while coaching other staff.

- Certifications in computer technologies from a technical or collegiate school and two years to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
