Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Perform general ledger accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Conduct account analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payment to vendors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in public accounting is a plus
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits, credits, and financial statements
