NJ Glass and Metal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial records and transactions. This is a crucial role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
· Conduct account analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting process.
· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Cash management
· Process accounts payable/Receivables and ensure timely payment to vendors.
· Purchase orders and vendor records maintenance.
· Daily interaction with clients and their staff
· Preparing bi- weekly payroll
· Maintaining financial document retention files
· Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes
· Sales taxes and commercial rent tax returns
· Accounting for fixed assets and depreciation
· Support coordination of annual audit
· Supervise investment strategies, direct financial resources, and manage company assets
· Coordinate financial record-keeping and oversee the development of yearly budgets
· Perform general ledger accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
· Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
· Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
· Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards
Qualifications
· Proven experience as Full Charge Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience (3+ years’)
· 5+ years’ experience working in a Finance or Bookkeeper position.
· Proficient with Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
· Provide financial guidance and management expertise related to company operations and financial strategy.
· Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
· Experience in A/P, A/R, Budgeting, GL Accounting, and Financial Reporting
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
