2 years minimum experience required. Worldwide Athletic Recreation LLC is a multi-faceted family-owned business in the athletic and sports industry looking to bring on a key team member within the financial operations of the business. The Full-charge Bookkeeper will work with the Controller, CFO, and family ownership to handle some of the day-to-day bookkeeping procedures of the business.
Full-charge Bookkeeper Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to Controller and CFO of business
- Accounts payable: organize and process incoming supplier/vendor invoices and maintain up-to-date master vendor list
- Accounts receivable: work with Chief Operating Officer to assist in managing and collecting open invoices and receivables
- Full-Charge Bookkeeper must maintain the accounts payable sub-ledger so that accounts with vendors are kept current
- Have weekly vendor checks signed by owner or CFO of business and disburse payments accordingly
- Reconcile and record monthly credit card transactions
- Complete bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist with month-end close procedures specifically relating to accounts payable
- Reconcile and record daily cash balances
- File monthly sales tax
- Ad-hoc reporting
Full-charge Bookkeeper Qualifications:
- Bookeeping experience is required
- Strong organizational skills are a must
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting/bookkeeping software to be able to run basic ad hoc financial reporting
- A degree or certification in Bookkeeping/Accounting is also required
