The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Sugar Land, TX.

Responsibilities

✓ Recording and reconciling bank transactions using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop on a monthly and quarterly basis.

✓ Sales Tax returns preparation and filing on a monthly and quarterly basis.

✓ Preparation of Property Tax Renditions annually.

✓ Recording of adjusting journal entries.

✓ Maintaining email communication with team members on a daily basis.

✓ Take directions and report to the Bookkeeping Managers.

✓ Effective time management and communication skills to ensure all deadlines are met and workflow does not get backed up.

✓ Processing payroll through Gusto for clients on a weekly basis. (Gusto experience not required, but preferred)

✓ Preparing payroll tax returns as well as amended payroll tax returns.

✓ Preparing sales tax returns.

Qualifications:

✓ The best fit for this role will have at least 1-2 years’ experience working with a CPA firm as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.

✓ Excellent analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills.

✓ Experience working with QuickBooks Online and Desktop is required.

✓ Ability to manage time and stress management with great communication skills.

✓ Ability to receive constructive criticism and apply to ongoing projects to show improvement.

✓ Highly motivated and the ability to work independently.

✓ Detail oriented and the ability to prioritize and focus in a high-paced, multi-tasking environment.

✓ Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills.

✓ Proficient in Microsoft Office and equivalent accounting software.

✓ Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time permanent basis.

✓ Understanding of 401K and SEP IRA retirement plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
