Front Desk Receptionist

Busy GYN office seeking a professional and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in our Decatur location. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office, possess strong computer literacy skills, excel in multi-tasking, have a bubbly personality and is highly motivated.

Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer multiple telephone lines
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
- Assist with patient registration and update patient records in the computer system
- Sending and receiving medical records
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred, but not required
- Proficient in using phone systems, computerized scheduling software, and other office equipment
- Strong typing skills with excellent accuracy
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
