We are looking for a reliable, Temporary, Part-Time, Seasonal weekend/evening (EVERYFriday, Saturday & Sunday (INCLUDING ANY HOLIDAYS THAT FALL ON THOSE DAYS) 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.) Receptionist / Dispatcher to act as a communication point for the public and our weekend units. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track individuals' location. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator, be able to answer HIGH VOLUME, multi-lined phone calls and answer questions regarding campgrounds, parks, beaches, etc. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
Position Days & Hours: EVERY Friday, Saturday & Sunday including any holidays that may fall on those days. 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.
MUST Be 18 years old or older
MUST Pass a SUPERVISED drug screen
MUST pass a background check & MVR (Motor Vehicle Report, Driving History).
Responsibilities
- Answers a busy, multi-lined phone and assist callers with information on campgrounds, day use areas, special events, beach areas, boat ramps, etc.
- Operate and monitor equipment necessary for operation including two-way radios and multi-lined telephones.
- Answer questions from employees and general public regarding emergencies, reporting necessary repairs, problems, and relaying information.
- Prepare and maintain records including handwritten logs.
- Answering, screening, and forwarding high volume incoming phone calls and high-volume two-way radio dispatches.
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Use radio or phone to send crews, vehicles, or other field units to appropriate locations
- Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Provide field units with information about calls regarding parks, campgrounds, traffic, obstacles, and requirements.
- Maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information.
Skills
- Proven experience as receptionist and dispatcher or relevant position preferred but not required
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding multitasking abilities

- High school diploma or GED
