The ideal candidate for the Financial Coach position is someone who has experience working in accounting, but also in the childcare industry. Our typical clients are small business owners, ranging from 1-5 childcare centers and they typically come to us when they are looking to increase their Net Income, sometimes for the sustainability of their business, but also in preparation of a sale (even if years away). Our goal is to meet the client where they are currently, all while helping them work towards where they want to go.
As a Financial Coach, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on a business owner's well-being. You will work closely with clients to help them achieve their financial goals and improve their overall financial health. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build trust with clients. If you are passionate about helping others achieve financial success, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with acquiring new clients, which might consist of scheduling consultations, joining consultation calls, following up with potential clients, and/or writing and requesting signatures for client engagement letters.
- Monthly financial statement reviews for each client, focusing on accuracy.
- Analyze each client's monthly financials statements and then relaying this analysis to clients in ways they will understand. We want clients to then be able to use this knowledge to make more informed decisions.
- Work with, train, and mentor bookkeepers (whether internal or external) to ensure financial accuracy.
- Provide top value to clients and partners by helping solve existing problems and set the client up for financial success, all while using proactive approaches.
- Hold monthly Financial Coaching meetings with each client via Zoom. Utilize the client's Action Plan as a tool to know what the next month's plan is and to stay organized.
- While in client meetings, do-able action steps should be top of mind. Clients need clear and precise steps to move them in the right direction. These do-able action steps should be documented on their client Action Plan and shared with the client.
- Hold clients accountable for their “homework”, as well as yourself.
- Make sure all required deliverables have been presented to the client in a timely matter (and they understand what was delivered to them in the meeting).
- Keep the workflow system up-to-date by tracking hours worked, client due dates, client notes, and client files.
