Job Title: Facilities Assistant
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team to help maintain and improve our facility, Villa Parker. The Facilities Assistant will perform various tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and functional work environment.
Duties:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
- Fabricate and install various components as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs
- Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
-Supporting the facilities team with daily tasks and administrative duties.
-Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including shared spaces, bathrooms, and common areas.
-Ensure building safety by identifying and report hazards
-Perform maintenance and repair work inside and outside of the property more specifically:
-Such as hanging string lights in specific areas of the property.
-Work with event planners to set up tables and chair to match specific floor plan.
-Pulling and putting back tables and chairs with the use of equipment
-Painting, sweeping, snow removal, landscaping, and refusal removal.
-Building and breaking down things as needed, maintaining, and repairing any equipment.
-Assist with other projects as needed.
-Will report directly to the Facilities Manager.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings
- Can communicate effectively both in written and verbal communication
- Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred
- Leadership skills to effectively supervise contractors and vendors
-Is timely and professional, takes direction easily and is willing to learn new things and take on new task's/projects, hardworking and is self-motivated and a self-starter.
Education and or Work Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required.
