LinQuest is seeking a Senior Security Analyst I/Assistant FacilitySecurity Officer (AFSO) to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. An active DoD Secret clearance is required
- Collaborate with the FSO in establishing, maintaining, updating, and operating a comprehensive security program with strict compliance with US government and company security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Administer the day-to-day security operations of the Colorado Springs facility industrial security program with oversight from the FSO, as well as multiple offsite locations, to include but not limited to:
- Providing security pre-screens, initial security training for new hires, special access briefings (ex: North Atlantic Treaty Organization [NATO] initial/annual briefs), courier training, annual refresher briefings and debriefings for departing team members.
- Tracking and appropriate reporting of Security Executive Agent Directive 3 (SEAD-3) requirements (ex: pre/post foreign travel).
- Supporting the physical security of the facility; badging, perimeter checks, signage, visitor and visit request processing, access control and onsite security activities. Able to be the primary response to after-hours alarms and emergency conditions.
- Oversee and assist with classified meetings, coordinating with meeting host(s) and local administrative team.
- Maintaining/initiating personnel security records and clearances for collateral and SCI related programs by using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) system and eApplication (eAPP).
- Assist in conducting self-inspections/team member interviews and apply necessary mitigations.
- Interface with company program managers/leads and develop/maintain liaisons with US government program Security Officers.
- Aiding the FSO with the review and issuance of prime/subcontract DD Form 254s, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications.
- Be the Communications Security (COMSEC) Account Manager which will entail maintaining secure equipment (i.e., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, enforcing compliance with COMSEC standards and related requirements, provide training and security education to personnel in COMSEC operating procedures and the use of related equipment, conduct inspections, and other COMSEC related support and oversight.
- Lead security container custodian: manage access and document control/accountability, verify classified shipping addresses in the National Industrial Security System (NISS), provide training, ship, and receive classified material, aid with classification guidance to team members.
- Submit and maintain SCI nomination packages and billet rosters.
- Thoroughly investigate potential security incidents/violations and report it to the FSO.
- Other tasks and duties, as assigned.
- 3 + years of experience as a Security Professional
- Associate’s degree (additional relative experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of degree).
- Certificate of completion of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)/Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) course Facility Security Officer (FSO) Program Management for Possessing Facilities.
- Active Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI is required.
- Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM and other national level security directives.
- Demonstrated expertise utilizing DISS, SWFT, and eAPP.
- Adept of current DCSA/National Security Agency (NSA) security policy, procedures, and reviews.
- Capable of climbing ladders to conduct physical security checks and lifting large packages for shipping.
- Can interpret company and government security policies and apply them to security operations.
- Skilled in multi-tasking in a variety of complex and in-depth tasks.
- Customer/team oriented and able to function with limited supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure, possess good problem-solving and communication skills, and be able to enforce policies in a professional and personable manner.
- Proficient briefer capable of training large numbers of personnel.
- Highly organized and have advanced oral and written communication skills, strong computer skills in MS Suite.
- Ability to work independently or in group settings.
- Critically analyze situations and use good judgement to solve complex and in-depth tasks.
- Maintain and update security databases (i.e., Security Information Management [SIMS], internal data repository, Lenel access control system).
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be a self-starter with initiative to work independently and interact with personnel and government customer(s)
- Ability to work with limited direction and handle multiple projects on short timelines.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced multi-compartmented work environment.
- Capability to prepare reports and briefings.
- Some experience with NBIS and NISS.
- TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, specifically knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) security requirements.
- Familiarity with SIMS and Distributed Information Security (INFOSEC) Accounting System (DIAS) security software
- Ability to perform COMSEC duties including inventory and disposition.\
- Relevant industry recognized certification\Basic knowledge of DoDM 5105.21 Volumes 1-3, ICDs
- Awareness of DCSA accredited Open Storage Areas (formerly known as Closed Areas).
Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $75,000 to $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
