Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for high level and confidential support related to the Executive Management Senior Leadership and works under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chief Development Officer.
Maintains attitudes and behaviors that demonstrate and uphold the Mission Statement of A New Leaf (ANL), supports ANL’s core values and shows an understanding of A New Leaf’s client-centered philosophy.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Provides executive support by assisting with the completion of special projects and events.
Works with other personnel to accomplish project goals.
2. Coordinates, maintains and communicates scheduling as needed to include setting up
appointments, research, and other assistance as needed pertaining to
the needs of the CEO and senior leadership.
3. Organizes and handles the preparation of all events, luncheons and meetings pertaining
to the needs of the CEO and senior leadership.
4. Processes donations and prepares acknowledgement letters, assists with email blasts, e-
newsletters, thank you letters, etc.
5. Prepares Board of Directors meeting agendas and distributes. Attends all Board
meetings and keeps written minutes of the meetings and records attendance.
6. Prepares Board minutes for review and approval by the CEO.
7. Maintains confidentiality in regards to: all financial information, client and staff issues,
correspondence and reports and safeguards individual’s rights.
8. Interacts with individuals served to promote self-esteem, confidence and morale.
Participates actively to ensure the happiness and well-being of individuals served by A
New Leaf. Treat individuals with dignity and respect. Represents A New Leaf and
Individuals in the program in a positive manner; acts as a positive role model for all
Individuals served.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age – 21 years old.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of three years related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with donor database software preferred.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and lead multiple long and short term projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement in developing proposals, programs and collateral to meet the needs of the organization and donors.
- Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and an expressed desire to work with persons with developmental disabilities.
Special Requirements:
- Follow policy and procedures of ANL.
- Establish a positive relationship with all individuals served, parents, guardians, advocates and other service providers.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, completes required documentation and reports required by ANL and funding sources.
- Criminal arrest check will be done through the OSBI; Per Section 1025.1 et seq. Of Title 56 of the Oklahoma statues, House Bill 1790, any prospective employee with a felony or misdemeanor conviction, guilty plea or plea of nolo contendere will not be eligible for employment. This prohibition may be disregarded if an appropriate waiver is obtained from the Office of the Director, DDSD, Department of Human Services, or his/her designees.
- Community Services Registry checks (House Bill 1790) will be done through DDSD, Department of Human Services. The person whose name appears on the registry cannot work for A New Leaf.
- Employees and A New Leaf are engaged in an at-will employment relationship, meaning that either are free to terminate the relationship at any time with or without reason and with or without notice.
