Job Summary:
The Executive Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the senior executives of a legal department or law firm. The position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The Executive Legal Assistant must also possess a thorough understanding of legal procedures and terminology, as well as a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to senior executives, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling correspondence.
- Assist with the preparation and management of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and other legal filings.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support senior executives in their decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and paper files for all matters related to the legal department or law firm.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of presentations, meetings, and events.
- Manage and prioritize incoming requests and inquiries from senior executives, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit expense reports and other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal environment or law firm.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and principles.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
