Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a EMR Impl Spec-Practice Ops.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for partnering with the EMR Implementation Specialist Practice to manage the Practice (account) relationship as it pertains to the training of the Epic access-related applications across all FGP Practices, and provides user support of the Epic applications after installation. The EMR Implementation Specialist Practice will perform user training and work with administrative staff in the FGP to facilitate the operational capabilities of the Epic access application components to the EPIC system. The EMR Implementation Specialist Practice works closely with onsite practice managers, coordinators, medical center EPIC teams, and, clinical department leadership. The ideal candidate must understand and improve on workflows using all aspects of the Epic system.
Job Responsibilities:
    • Participate in implementation meetings and report and update Director/team as appropriate.
    • Trains and supports system users (administrative staff) in the operational use of the Epic access applications during both implementation and post deployment. Trains new functionality as needed and identifies opportunities for retraining.
    • Partners with IT, IT Trainers and IT Analysts on the coordination of all aspects of Epic implementations and optimization projects.
    • Creates and fosters a working relationship with assigned Practices and ensures that practice issues are dealt with in an efficient manner.
    • Serve as the primary Epic administrative contact for FGP leadership and will coordinate all questions and issues that arise during the project for each business unit within the application areas.
    • Troubleshoot and triage hardware and software problems to the appropriate IT Services personnel and follows up, if third party assistance is needed.
    • Participates in user groups to improve the use of the Epic access applications.
    • Liaises with NYU IT team to ensure appropriate use of resources for the completion of Epic implementation and optimization projects.
    • Works with FGP management teams to deploy, implement and enhance the usage of Epic access applications.
    • Works with Epic and NYU IT/EPIC to resolve application issues for FGP practices.
    • Acts as primary point of contact for assigned practices administrative staff, gathers and documents practice data, understands their workflow and manages day to day practice activities as it relates to the Epic implementation and optimization efforts.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree required. Two to three years of successful experience in physician practice management and/or associated revenue cycle unit. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines is required. Possess excellent oral and written communication and problem solving skills. Excels at role modeling customer service skills with focus on the customer. Committed to improving quality and service and maintains a spirit of cooperation and respect.
Takes initiative to enhance knowledge. Has good time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with training users in groups and individuals preferred. Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $63,935.04 - $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
