The Position:

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Elder Law Legal Assistant who seeks more than just another job. Daily responsibilities include:

• Communicating with clients via email and telephone to set up appointments.
• Discussing draft documents and changes to documents and answering general client inquiries.
• Document preparation including asset protection and estate planning documents such as Wills, Revocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Irrevocable Trusts, and other legal pleadings.
• Assisting lawyers in the preparation and maintenance of Medicaid binders
• Organizing and tracking case files

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess the following key competencies:

• Knowledge of the Medicaid application process and probate administration process are a plus.
• Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and the judicial system
• Outstanding time-management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to authoring accurate work.
• Critical thinking
• Stress tolerance
• A desire to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to multitask and work with a diverse client base.

The Location:

Dooley Gembala is a downtown-caliber firm located on the border of Avon and Sheffield Village, Ohio just 25 minutes from Downtown Cleveland and 10 minutes from Westlake, with a second location in Vermilion, Ohio open on Tuesdays and Fridays.
