For anything originally drafted by the Legal Assistant, the firm expects the Legal Assistant to proofread the work, including checks for proper spelling, grammar, and formatting.
· Maintain e-filing in proper order. While paper files are maintained by the administrative staff, digital client files are the responsibility of the responsible attorney’s team. Legal assistants should know how to properly name a file, and how to properly categorize the documents in the file so they can be easily found. In addition, Legal assistants are charged with checking the supervising attorney’s “Scanned Mail” folder, which contains e-copies of all incoming mail and faxes, for placement in the appropriate client’s e-file.

The procedure for requests and organizing bills related to requests is specific to Lawrence & Associates and must be adhered to.
