Combs, Schaefer, Ball & Little is seeking a full time Paralegal. The Paralegal provides legal and administrative assistance to the Law Firm which primarily includes work in Real Estate Law, Civil Litigation, Landlord Tenant Law, Business Planning, & Estate and Elder Care Law. Our office has been established for over 60 years and continues to grow and provide a dynamic and flexible work environment.
This Paralegal position has an immediate opening and will be responsible for the firm’s day-to-day administration including:
- Assisting with accounting and firm finances to include skills in data input systems and firm billing software.
- Organizing, filing, and tracking the status of Landlord Tenant files from start to finish.
- Utilize best practices in time management;
- Drafting of necessary legal pleadings;
- Assisting with the creation of correspondence and other legal documents to other business partners and/or clients;
- Ability to professionally communicate with partners, other attorneys, and teams within the firm via phone, email, personal conversation and letter correspondence; Assists other legal staff with projects, as assigned;
Education &Experience:
- Prefer but not required Paralegal Studies or related field;
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal working closely with senior level attorneys in a law firm or corporate legal environment, required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently;
- Self-Starter;
- Ability to learn quickly preferred;
- Close Attention to detail required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required;
- Experience maintaining filing systems;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and other staff members

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
