Summary of Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced eCommerce Coordinator to join our team of Sonic Explorers, on a full-time basis. The eCommerce Coordinator is responsible for configuration and quality control of our products and store operations. This position needs to have an appreciation for even the smallest details and be a bit of a perfectionist! Quality before quantity is the name of the game in this role at VMP. In this position, a fair amount of time will be working in Shopify to maintain and refresh our website. Ideal candidates are highly organized self-starters that are detail-oriented, proactive, and can thrive in a fast-paced music-centric environment.
In This Position You Will:
- Help maintain the shop; the gathering and sharing of assets internally and externally to create product pages for products purchased from Label Partners and for the ROTM (Record of the Month). Handle product uploads, updates, and categorization for all store products.
- Be the point person for internal and external eCommerce. Have full knowledge of what is currently for sale in the store and which campaigns are currently running and what is coming up next.
- Participate in the tracking and discussion of sales numbers for the online store.
- Receive approval on product from all necessary partners before a product is added to the store.
- Assist quality control of the product information posted on our (labels, jackets, marketing stickers, liner notes, etc.), ensuring accuracy of information. Lead the communication of issues to the Action Team.
- Participate and collaborate with the appropriate team when quality issues arise to find a resolution.
- Communicate any quality issues to the Customer Service team involving finished products received from Partners, when it may impact getting the product to the customer on time.
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure proper and timely email communication is provided to the appropriate customer base when quality concerns impact delivery.
- Work with the Senior Director, Supply Chain providing support in adding new SKUs to our system and item ship-ability.
- Proactively remain in the loop on issue reports from the Supply Chain when they involve quality concerns.
- Write product descriptions.
- Copy edit emails and online product pages.
- Work with Customer Service and Marketing to monitor socials and incorporate customer influenced feedback to the website.
- Execute nuanced inventory management each month to support both our subscription and store channels.
Skills, experience and qualities that will help you be successful:
- Experience with eCommerce platforms: The candidate should be familiar with managing product listings and understanding the backend operations of the chosen platform.
- Analytical Abilities: The Coordinator should be able to use tools like Google Analytics or similar platforms.
- Attention to detail, be the “eagle eye” on the team for website accuracy specifically related to everything (specifications, scheduled launch, tags, metadata, etc.) and inventory levels labels.
- Understanding of software programs such as: Adobe Acrobat, Monday.com, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office. As well as internet usage and sites like Discogs.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- A self-starter that enjoys collaborative opportunities but also works well independently.
- A passion for music and experience in the industry.

The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must have a dedicated work space, as this is a remote job. Must be willing to travel 2-3 times a year. Must have reliable wifi for large volume conference calls.
