The Document Control Specialist is responsible for processing changes for new and existing asset information across all asset types based on site needs. This role is integral to our change management processes and maintaining accurate Refinery Asset Records in accordance with PSI, PSM, and record retention requirements. The role will support our strategic improvements and changes to our records data management systems.
Our Team
We are a dedicated team of records data management professionals with the common goal of providing the highest level of accuracy in a sset records management to the refinery. We manage over 300,000 equipment assets (including fixed, rotating, electrical, and instruments) inside the plant and are responsible for nearly 141,000 living documents that represent those pieces of equipment.
What You Will Do
- Provide guidance on proper asset numbering and naming conventions as well as the use of Autodesk Construction Cloud to support Project, TA, change management processes and Day 1 Readiness.
- Assign new equipment tags and create new or update existing equipment records in asset data management system(s).
- Process project deliverables and management of change action plans into the Corpus Christi Plant Records.
- Review and verify deliverables for process safety information completeness and resolve discrepancies between existing records and the information provided for the update.
- Provide engineering document research and technical support for customers to improve decision-making.
- Understand business challenges and support innovating the records data management work processes. Includes the identification of opportunities for advancement, as well as testing, and support for user adoption of new technology.
- Support efforts to make asset records and data available and structured in a way that enables effective end-user decision-making. Leveraging enterprise data and solution capability appropriately.
- Provide backup support to other team members as necessary to contribute to group objectives.
- Strong technical capability to review incoming asset data and process it appropriately.
- Data analysis experience (database querying, spreadsheet, pivot table, & Power BI) (asset management systems hexagon EAM, ACC Autodesk Construction Cloud as document management system)
- Experience in a refinery or process plant including general asset knowledge; understanding of engineering drawings and data - such as P&IDs, PFDs, piping plans, isometrics, I&E documentation and datasheets.
- Experience with asset management systems such as Hexagon EAM or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) or similar
- Ability to manage data within Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
- Passion for unlocking the power of operations data
- Experience managing compliance systems and/or leading change efforts.
- Understanding of project work processes and deliverables
- CAD experience
