The Monroe County Community College Respiratory Therapy (RTH) Program is seeking a clinical adjunct instructor to teach adult general and adult intensive care areas at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. This is a face to face class and instructor will teach at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in coordination with MCCC faculty/ program Director. RTH faculty members are hired on a part-time basis to teach, guide and assess student learning in the Respiratory Care (RTH) Program.
Essential Job FunctionsExpected Job Duties:
• Mentor and assist students in learning the clinical cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills required of a competent respiratory therapist in the areas of adult general care and adult critical care.
• Assess and evaluate student competency and clinical performance, providing timely feedback.
• Attend clinical instructor meetings as required by the Director of Clinical Education.
• Attend/complete required training.
Required qualifications:
• AAS or related degree in Respiratory Care
• Valid RRT credential
• Current, unencumbered Michigan Respiratory Therapist licensure
• 2 years recent clinical experience, with at least one year each in adult general and intensive care areas.
Preferred qualifications:
• ACCS credential
• Bachelor degree or higher
• Prior teaching experience
RTH instructors may need to complete additional training provided by the college to meet program accreditation standards.
