Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition will provide strategic and executional leadership for all aspects of recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, policy development and compliance and our overall HR strategy. Serving initially as an individual contributor, this newly created role will ensure that the company continues to attract, retain, and develop a highly skilled and engaged workforce. The role will office at our Plymouth, WI Corporate facility with an expectation of 3 days each workweek on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy and Policy Development in collaboration with senior leadership's strategic goals.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to continually improve HR strategies.
- Prepare, update, and maintain our employee handbook and policy manual.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations as the Company expands.
- Perform special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the President and Executive VP.
- Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract top industry talent.
- Directly manage our full cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Develop and support the execution of our onboarding processes for new hires.
- Benefits and Compensation
- Collaborate with Director of Finance and Accounting to evolve and administer our employee benefit programs, including health insurance and retirement plan.
- Establish and coordinate holiday and training schedules in conjunction with President and EVP.
- Performance Management
- Support our performance management process, including coaching and guidance to managers.
- Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure proper documentation of performance improvement plans, when necessary.
- Employee Relations and Engagement
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Maintain good communication and positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Address employee concerns and conflicts, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.

Experience / Education
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible HR experience, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience supporting a remote sales and customer service organization.
- Expertise regarding employment-related laws and regulations across all US States.
- Experience in full cycle recruiting, sourcing, and employment branding in the CPG field preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related Business discipline.
- Professional (SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP) certification is a plus.
