Brief Summary of Responsibilities:
- Implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Recommend and, if approved, assist in implementing revised organizational structure to achieve efficiency.
- Develop and provide guidance on compensation.
- Partner with other members of Senior Management to develop and implement best approaches to performance management.
- Advisor to other members of Senior Management in evaluation of business objectives and development and implementation of plans to achieve objectives.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and off-boarding processes to ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures and with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and audit compliance with workplace policies, such as sexual harassment, equal opportunity, and antidiscrimination and anti-retaliation policies.
- Manage employee files, including confidential personnel records, in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Assist in performing employee background checks, including the legal compliance related to same, and other investigative tasks related to HR compliance.
- Conduct periodic training to ensure all employees, including managerial employees, understand their rights and responsibilities under applicable law related to EEO and anti-retaliation issues.
- Maintain and work to improve high employee morale and work to identify and resolve differences before they interfere with working environment or productivity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4 years HR experience as Human Resources Manager or Director required.
- Superb organizational and oral and written communication skills.
- Strong coaching, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational management, or similar fields preferred.
- PHR, SHRM or similar certification preferred.
- Familiarity with motor carrier operations preferred.

Pay: From $79,000.00 per year
